From our family to yours. I have been smoking meat and bbq sauces since college when I helped smoke a pig over a cinderblock pit. When I bought my first charcoal bullet smoker, I would get store bought sauce and start adding things to it to make it palatable. Then I remembered trips to my mom's relatives in Columbia South Carolina. We'd go to Aunt Margaret and Uncle Malcom's house to stay and there always a lot food and fun. On the kitchen table were always 2 bottles of sauce. One was a vinegar pepper sauce for greens and such and the other is what my Uncle Mal called his “table sauce” and he put it on everything. It was a bit red, tangy, peppery with just enough molasses to give a little sweetness at the end. I have spent years trying to replicate that "table sauce and our Original No. 1 Red gets its roots from that sauce. Its a little sweeter but still tangy, peppery with a touch of heat. Original No. 1 is perfect on pulled pork, chicken wings but we also love it on ribs, burgers, salmon, pizza and just about anything else that comes across our table. We know it will find a place on yours. When I first tasted my Uncle’s sauce I was 6 years old, I said wow that’s a lot of flavor. Sweet and tangy but with just a great overall delicious flavor. I never got the actual recipe so have spent many years trying to recreate it and I think this sauce is just right. My wife and two son help with making, selling and distributing our sauce. We have two flavors (Original No.1 and a Spicy version of it) right now with a third on its way. Please join us in sharing this sauce with your friends and family.
