Ingredients: This recipe is for 20-25 oysters
- Fresh oysters
- 4 cloves garlic, minced and sauted in butter below
- Herbs de Provence, add to butter
- 1 stick of melted butter
- freshly grated parmesan cheese
- Tomey's sauce for vinegar and pepper flavors
- finally chopped bacon or country ham
- bread crumbs - optional
Instructions:
- Start coals for Charcoal grill
- In a saucepan, heat butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until golden and then Herbs de Provence.
- When coals are ready spread across bottom of grill.
- place oysters on grill until they just pop open.
- Remove from grill with tongs or gloves and open oyster and place oyster in the cup side of the shell like in the picture.
- Place shucked oysters on grill or take an older baking rack and place oysters on it. This is much quicker and easier to put on and take off.
- In a minute or two add a half a spoon of the herb garlic butter, a drop or two of Tomey's No. 1 Red and bacon.
- When oysters are cooked to you your preference (rare, medium or well done) then sprinkle on parmesan and bread crumbs.
- Serve and watch your family and friends go crazy, put the next rack of oyster on.
