Ingredients:
- 2 cans (28 oz each) crushed tomatoes
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for desired spiciness)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
Instructions:
- In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until golden.
- Pour in the crushed tomatoes and stir well. Add oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer the sauce for 20-30 minutes, allowing it to thicken. Adjust the spice level to your liking.
- Stir in fresh basil just before serving. Great with penne or rigatoni.
