Spicy Arrabbiata Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans (28 oz each) crushed tomatoes
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for desired spiciness)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped

Instructions:

  1. In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until golden.
  2. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and stir well. Add oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  3. Simmer the sauce for 20-30 minutes, allowing it to thicken. Adjust the spice level to your liking.
  4. Stir in fresh basil just before serving. Great with penne or rigatoni.
